Post partum check ups?

Just curious (I have forgotten) what exactly is done at the post partum check? I have one schedueled next with my OB (she did NOT deliver dd) and to be perfectly honest, have no desire to go and see her. Part of it is laziness. I just don't feel like packing myself and my baby up and driving the fair distance to her office, then sitting there for up to possibly an hour for her to tell me congrats. But, another part of me wants to go just in spite to say "I told you so!" since I was dealt so much negativity with the medical community telling me I was out of my mind going for a VBAC after 2 previous c/s's.

DO they routinely do pap smears at this appt?

yes, they do. They also usually discuss/perscribe b/c.

I feel the same way you do, I'm not really into it...but I declined the 1st tri pap and I really am 'due' for one. Since I had a HB, I'm trying to figure out who to go see. At this point, I'm thinking that I'll do that junk with the CNMs that delivered DD2 (at the hospital). Granted the office is just about an hour and a half away but for some reason I think that I'll be more respected there than any place around here that I've been. I need to run it by someone else IRL to get thier opinion (DH) but I think that that would be the best decision for me.

You can say no to the pap.

Mine didn't do a pap, just a quick exam, we talked about birth control and I was regaled with some story completely irrelevant to anything.
