Yea!!! She is home and doing well. The EEG (brain scan) came back normal and so they discharged her today. We are so pleased and relieved that she is healthy and doing well. We will be having to follow-up with the neurologist, cardiologist (amongst other complications, Caleigh's heart is on the right side of her chest vs. the left - not a problem, but we just need to keep an eye on it), and other doctors to make sure she continues to thrive.
She is breast feeding really well though - we started in the hospital and she gained 15 oz! So, she left at 7 lbs 15 oz at 9 days old. She has been adjusted twice (gotta love having two parents and one grandparent who are chiropractors!) and now our next move is to switch her from the disposable diapers they use in the hospital to cloth. DH is more nervous about that than he was driving her home today!
Thank you again for your kind words and thoughts. And congratulations to all other October and November mamas!!!
Cheers,
Andrea
