In the process of making my first AIO

I read that you could use microfleece for the outer layer of an AIO. I was wondering how well this worked.

Microfleece is generally not considered water-resistant enough to be an effective barrier layer in an AIO. I say generally, because you might have that unusual child who is an extremely light wetter! Microfleece is great as a top layer on a AIO soaker for a stay-dry barrier.

A better fleece choice for the outside of an AIO would be Malden Mills windpro fleece.

Polar fleece is what you're thinking of. It's thicker and water resistant.
