I was talking to my aunt today (she does not have any children) and she was asking about about my IL's and about the fight the I had with them on mother's Day. She was asking what is was all about and I said , "You know they are mad that I never had Michael circumcised"
My aunt said, "Do people still do that????"

she went on about how in her day they just did it and didn't even ask permission but she was shocked that circumcision even still went on. What I really love about it is that her reaction comes just from a place of love for babies I guess b/c she isn't "up" on the latest medical news or whats' new in the baby world. I guess she always felt it was wrong and figured it found it's way out of the commonplace.

I like to get 'em young. My dd is a great teen intactivist to her friends.

It seems so blatantly obvious that circumcision is UNNECESSARY, doesn't it? Good for your aunt. I was lucky that I didn't have a problem with my ILs about circumcision. My brother-in-law's children, who were born 10 and 7 years before mine started arriving, were left alone. They really don't have any strong feelings about it. They didn't have insurance when ds1 was born, and then they decided to leave ds2 alone because ds1 was intact. They broke in the ILs though.
