I've had really bad sciatic nerve pain so far this pregnancy so everyday when he comes home from work he rubs my back with some st john's wort oil. It's really cute ds likes to help too he calls it butt oil and rubs my back with the softest sweetest touch ever! i love it. It's my special treat once a day.

This is out of control. I just need to whine a little. I can barely eat anything but cheese its,blue gatorade, frozen waffles and strawberries. UGH I never eat this kind of crap.

OH but I am 7 weeks today!!!!!

To answer the question... My biggest, and pretty much only "symptom" so far is the fatigue, so to make things easier for me, my hubby lets me sleep, and he gets things done around the house.

Well, DH just figured out yesterday that my complaints about nausea might not all be in my head (he didn't believe the early hpts!) and today he went out of town for a few days (for work), so he hasn't done much yet! But he was *great* during my pregnancy with DS so I'm sure he'll be coming through soon! He did take DS out of the bedroom this morning so I could sleep for an extra 45 min, and that was nice, since DS woke up at 4:45!

BTW, my due date (according to my own estimates) is July 15.

I'll whine too! I feel awful today!! Blec! I have felt nauseous ALL DAY! And I too am soooo super tired. I would take a nap everyday if I could. I can't sleep at night though!? Go figure!:

As far as dh making this pg easier so far... Yeah right! I don't think he realizes that there is something in there until I start to show! He just thinks I'm nuts when I cry all the time! Owell! He's great! I'm really not complaining. He is being extra nice today. Probably because I really don't feel well and because it's my birthday!

tatermom, we've got a similar due date! Mine is around the 15th too.

Let's see- DH... well, he has been letting me sleep. He took me out to dinner twice last week. He also has been getting up with the dog at 3 in the AM when she barks, instead of giving me a nudge and a grunt!

Oh! How could I forget the best part of his support! He reassures me that everything will be fine, no matter what twinges and pains I feel. He tolerates my crabbiness and grouchy-ness and calmly and quietly makes me toast with hummus. He reaches over and rubs my belly in the middle of the night, even though he's been very stoic and careful about getting too excited over the baby yet. Sunday when I was too tired to go to the store by myself, even though he hates grocery shopping more than anything, he went with me and carefully studied things to make sure they didn't have high fructose corn syrup or aspertame in them (two main things we avoid). My man... He's going to be such a good dad!

well, I do love my dh, but I can't say he's doing a whole lot of extra-special so far otoh, he usually does more than the average bear, so maybe he doesn't have as far to go as some! he brought pizza home tonight, and he's very calm about this pg, and he tells me I'm sexy, which is probably a good trait even though it annoys me most of the time!

meanwhile, the color of the day for me is definitely green I can ward it off, but the queasy feeling just keeps coming back all day. and exhausted doesn't come close I feel completely wiped out. I know we all tell ourselves that means it's going to stick, but my herstory has been just the opposite! we'll see soon enough... I'm 6 weeks this week. bleah.... just get me to week 15!!

oh, I just remembered, dh brought a movie home today, and not just one he would like that was pretty sweet. :

Looks like the wonderful symptoms are catching up to many of us, me included. If I don't eat something before I get out of bed, ugh, morning bites. Lack of coffee has really left me dead tired all day long, by afternoon I feel like a zombie.

Dh: fixed ds and I some oatmeal in bed and this morning was the least :Puke I've felt in a week

He also has taken over my current 'job' of sanding and varnishing ALL the trim, doors and built-ins in our new house, working side by side with our very moody wood maestro carpenter (who I get along with and he doesn't) because I REALLY want to be moved in before I get huge. We should be ready to move by Jan. :

My hubby is being really great, too. Tonight, he unloaded the dishwasher, loaded it up, made dinner, and is now dealing with our 2 1/2 year old. I'm not feeling TOO pregnant today, but the food is making me a little queasy at times. Oh, and my hair isn't falling our in almost clumps (has since I stopped bf). I am also craving cheese like CRAZY! I ate a whole bunch of it over the last few days. How strange!

Strange topic.... I called to make my first ob appt today, and I mentioned a problem I have had with my foot for a week. It is super swollen (like it was when I was 8 months pregnant), it hurts to wear shoes, and I am having a little trouble walking on it. They told me to see my primary care...which I did. He sent me to get an x-ray. He wasn't sure if they would do it so he wanted me to make sure that I told them (no prob there). So...I get there and they tell me I can't have anything since I am pregnant (once again...I get it...no prob...had doubts myself). Should I be worried that my primary sent me to get an xray when he knew I am 4 weeks? I think he thought that they could just put the shield over me (said something to that effect)...and I have to say it kind of made sense to me. The tech at the radio place said that it does more than that...explained the whole process...blah, blah, blah. So...long story short.... I am keeping off my foot in hopes that it is really a strained muscle, but they can't do anything for it if it is broken. So now what? Thanks for hearing me out!

Yikes Mel - I hope you don't have a broken foot - that would really suck! I am sending you healing vibes that it is all better soon.

On to the topic of Dh and his help - he is pretty good about letting me sleep in and taking our dd in the morning (he works from home) - he also went and got me a burrito I was craving for dinner and then put dd to bed (usually my job) - and he takes baths with me and rubs my back and feet when I need it.

My back has been super achy - I am sooooo tired all the time - and I have afternoon sickness more than morning sickness - and feel a little nauseous all day long - especially after I eat. To be honest though, I am kinda glad I am feeling nauseous - it makes it more "real" and like goddessjulia said - makes me think more that it is going to "stick".

Glad to see more moms from the TTC forum over here!

oh - anyone else feeling REALLY gassy? I am embarrassed to say I am stinking up my house lately - no matter what I eat!

Oh yeah, the yucky pregnancy symptoms have set in. I am feeling so queasy, any food with a strong smell just turns my stomach. All I want to eat is apples and french fries, and maybe some plain noodles. Thank goodness I can stomach a fresh juice made locally here that has fruit juice mixed with green veggies, sounds weird but it's pretty tasty.

And the bone deadening, mind numbing tiredness!!!! I feel like I'm wading through thick jello all the time. The nice thing about going through this a third time is that I am pretty confident that I only 5 or 6 more weeks of this. I really do not like the first trimester.

QOTW: My Dh has been so helpful. He's been pretty good about making time for me during the day to get a nap in, so I probably get to nap 5 out of 7 days. And he's been really great about getting dinner going too. By 5 o'clock I am just beat!

My DH has been giving me back rubs and letting me sleep in.

I had a consultation with a homebirth midwife this morning. She was hired on the spot, she's AMAZING and I'm so excited to go through this pregnancy with her.

Sickies here too. Feeling very nauseated in the afternoon then ok in the evening. But when not feeling stomach nasty feeling tired and lots of food aversions.

I will be 6 weeks tommorow hitting me at the exact same time as it did with my first.

Dh has been doing his best. He got up with my son this morning so I could sleep until 9:30am. Since I slept in I did not feel the need to take my usual afternoon nap around 1:00pm.

Dh has been giving many many back/foot/hand/thigh rubs which help a TON. He says that he wants me to be relaxed this time

Last year we had a roommate (depressed drama queen with a psychology degree which she thought meant that she could "psychoanalyse" our marriage based on her parents' atrocious marriage...) who I had to kick out 2 weeks before dd was due... so I can't possibly fail to be more relaxed this time

I'm not feeling super pg, which makes me nervous. I'm only queasy if I'm sitting still. Since I've been on my feet all day, that hasn't been a problem. I am beyond tired, and my mind is so slow. I can't stay asleep more than 5 hours a night. I am gassy and alternate between constipation and diarrhea. Fun times! Oh, and my boobs are sore - they've actually gotten a little bigger! Just a bit more and I'll be an A for once, instead of an AA!

DH has been sweet. The first few days he was afraid the believe it. Now he calls me "mama", asks how I am doing, and makes sure I get enough food (in a non-pushy way). He didn't complain when I told him I didn't have it in me to paint the whole house. We told our immeadiate family last night, and he was beaming! :

Hmmm...gassy, quesy, tired. That pretty much describes it! And, I think a pp mentioned cheese! It's my personal obsession right now, also.

My dh was been great, too, at taking care of the kids and letting me sleep. I think Sunday night, I slept like 12 hours. I can't believe how tired I am! And, the other thing he does that is fun, is let me talk about names. I know he would be content if we talked about them while I was in labor, but he's humoring me, and I appreciate that!

Stephanie- I think you and are in the same boat. I am not sleeping for more than 3-5 hours, and I feel miserable because of that. Other than that, I am not feeling too pg. Oh well, I know it will come for both of us...in time!
