Have You Tried The Dyson Clones?

Should I go with Dyson? Or can I go with one of the new Dyson clones? So far this week I've discovered the Hoover Fusion, the Infinity by Shark, and Dirt Devil has one too - all claiming to not lose suction. The Inifinty says it has 24 cyclones, which I think is more than the Dyson? The Hoover is about $100, but does not have a HEPA filter. (It has a lifetime filter, just not HEPA) The Dirt Devil I'm not too sure of yet, but it's around $150. The Infinity is $199, or $249 for the pet model, both with lifetime HEPA filters. And we all know about the Dyson! LOL!!

Anyone have any experience with these others? I just killed our 7 yr old Kenmore canister vac, and I need to get a new vacuum today but would like to avoid dropping $500. Thanks!!!

I haven't tried the clones, because I snagged an actual Dyson at Home Depot on clearance last year. You can buy refurbished Dysons on amazom.com though.

I don't have experience with the clones, however, I got a steal on a Dyson (one brought back because they wanted to upgrade to the Dyson Animal) for $350 and this was with a Five Year Warrenty from Sears ($250w/o the warrenty). It couldn't hurt to make nice with a Sears salesperson and see if any have come back to the store.

I've owned my Dyson for almost 2 years and it's the best vaccuum I've EVER used.

I would recommend reading reviews on the others from actual customers (amazon.com has good reviews), we did a lot of research before buying our Dyson, regular price. We tried out tons of them too. Bought ours at Best Buy and got a 3 yr warranty for $25. I would never try anything else!! This thing will suck the hair off of a goat!! It was so worth the money and it isn't the heavy you get with kirby's and such. I have read reviews and haven't found a shark anyone likes and most of the reviews say that the others loose suction, that was several years ago. Not sure of the newer models.

I vote for the Dyson!!!
