somewhere in the bottom ring

I am 38 weeks now and I need a replacement, but they are sold out everywhere

Any suggestions? I even called some local pool supply stores with no luck.

Oh man that sucks!
Could you try duct tape? I hear the comment 'if you can duck it, f$(k it!" hahaha
Ok...that was a man joke...

Really--I'd see if there were any mommies in your area willing to loan you one--or a midwife who can rent it?

My dh would really try to duct tape it.. LOL Maybe go to a local pool store and see if there is some sort of patching kit?

I would have a couple of plans.
First - I would ask everyone I came into contact with if they knew of someone who had an inflatable pool...be the person another pregnant mama, one who had just had a baby, a midwife, doula, etc. Someone MUST have a pool! You can even try to borrow on on "www.freecycle.com". As a last resort, perhaps you can buy one online, even.

Second - just in case another pool did not turn up - I would explore how to save my "old" pool. Try to isolate where exactly it's leaking from. Put a little water over where you suspect the leak and see if you can find a little stream of air bubbles - or hear a little hiss...If you can isolate the leak, dry the pool off and patch it. Patch kits can be gotten from pool supply stores, hardware stores, etc. If for some reason you can't patch it, then see if you can make do - some pools don't have rings at the bottom (like mine) - so people put foam padding, blankets, etc. underneath the pool.

Just some suggestions! Good luck.

Have you tried birthwithsol.com or birthwithlove.com?

I'm glad you tried it out before labor started. Did it come with a patch kit? If not, maybe you can find a patch kit at a pool store just so you can still use the pool if you can't find another one.

I saw some blow up poools at Toys R US the other day in PC, maybe you could get one as a back up. I didn't see the fishy pool, but they had some comparable ones. Target or K-Mart in PC might have pools in now too.

Patch kit patch kit!

You can get one at the local hardware store for like $3! It's called "Vinyl repair kit"

Doesn't even have to be one that comes with your pool, just pick one up at the local hardware store!

I agree with the patch kits!! They are pretty cheap & I am so glad that you found out about this before your labor started!!!

Hmmm...patch kid DOES sound like a better idea than duct tape...see, we women are SO MUCH SMARTER than the average man! hahahahaha

Thanks Mamas!! We actually have a patch it came with, but we can't find the hole: I figure if its on the outside, then we can still pump it as we use it. If its on the inside, then that would suck. We are going to fill it partway tomorrow and see if we can figure it out.

Jill, I know Target is all out, but I might check out toys r us. Thanks!
