Just returned from my MW appt.

Just got back from my MW appt. Baby was 40 weeks last Friday (Nov. 3rd), so MW is seeing me 2 x /week at this point.

Since last Friday, the baby has descended a bit, my cervix is 1 cm now (was 1/2 cm last Friday) and soft, but long, baby has turned LOA from ROA. And, that's about it.

All the contractions on Sunday were doing something, but it's going to be gradual...With the last 2 I had 8 and 5 days of prodomal labour, MW says it's probably going to be more like hours this time. Sounds better to me. When I asked for a predition - she said baby would come some time between next Friday and Sunday. I can live with that! She also added she's always wrong, so who knows?!

I just got back from my appointment too and we were due the same day!
I didn't get her to check my cervix because I don't think it will tell me anything and I don't want to get my hopes up

Babies heart rate was a little high but it was moving LOTS, my blood pressure it high but she was ok with it.

I have a UTI that I had no idea about : and she was surprised I was still pregnant

I'm now measuring 43 weeks.. yeah and blown up like a balloon

I had one today as well...

my EDD was the 6th apparently (didn't know that at all), I was told that by the sonographer I was sent to for a NST and BPP prior to going to the birth center. my main midwife is out of town until next monday or tuesday, and I dislike her standby GREATLY. So really I would like to wait until next week to go into labor, to the point of missing my 2nd appointment this week. My BPP said all was well, except for some 'fibrous' places on my placenta?? So i'm content to wait until the birth attendant I am comfortable with reappears, and besides i'm sure my cervix will stay shut tight until then anyhow what with my nerves about the back-up midwife,
