I made a difference!

I'm so happy. I had totally forgotten about this, but when my first child was a baby, a friend of my family's was staying at my mom's while doing a medical rotation. I happened to be visiting at the time, and I gave him a breastfeeding education pep talk. I haven't seen or talked to him since then. Fast forward to last night, when he and his wife called me for help with their new baby. Not only are they breastfeeding and cosleeping, but he has remembered our talk and in these interim years has encouraged a lot of his patients to nurse, keep nursing, learn about nursing, etc.

I'm so excited to know that something I said four years ago made a difference with how a doctor raises his baby and responds to his patients.

GREAT WORK!

You just never know where the seeds will land, and where they will blossom, do you? Well done!

How cool is that.

That's really cool! I'm glad to see docs who support nursing! And I'm very impressed that a mama convinced them it was cool! WTG!
