My dh went to see a homebirth mw tonight. The news is not good.
She is of the opinion that our baby has died, and we think she is right.
She was not able to detect a heartbeat with a Doppler. She has suggested
that we get an u/s to confirm.
She has some ideas about what may be some possible physical causes
behind 2 late-term losses that we may follow up on later.
We have told the boys that the midwife had concerns for our baby and
that we did too and are going in for testing. They are doing
surprisingly well so far.
Dh is processing. It takes him awhile to do that, but he is being
sweet. He is very sad.
As you might imagine, I am very, very sad. What lies ahead seems
extremely overwhelming and...hard. I can't quite process it. I hardly
know what to say.
