I'VE BEEN HENNAed!

Well, had my wonderful blessing way tonight! Both DD and I had flower 'crowns' made for us, I had a beautiful birthing necklace made for me, and my friends took turns drawing a beautiful henna tattoo on my belly. We seriously considered going to Meijer (a 24 hr grocery store) and prancing around with my big belly out to show the world my beautiful tattoo! I'm sure we would've gotten some stares! Didn't do it since dd was REALLY getting tired (but still running all around after chocolate and some soda...I let her 'splurge!')...but I'm sure I will wish I had to get the act on video!
It was awesome being around such strong and loving mamas...I'm ready for this baby--and I know I've got such great support if/when I need it! I'm a lucky mama!

me too. Post the pics! How do you make a henna belly? Can you just buy Henna at an indian store, or what? Do you mix it with oil and then use a paintbrush, or does it come as a pencil.... I wanna try!

my m/w should be sending me the pics today and I'll get them out as soon as I get them...I'm super excited to see them as well!

I bought a kit at an art store (making sure it isn't BLACK Henna--not good for you)
You mix the stuff together and then there is a little pen top that looks just like a mechanical pencil head--then you squeeze the ink out of that...so it is like using a chubby mechanical pencil!
I was REALLY SURPRISED at my 'non artistic' friends (as they put it)...they did such a great job--couldn't tell it was an 'amature' job!
