UPDATE! HANDPAINTEDYARN.COM - has anyone had problems with them?

i ordered some yarn from them last months and it came SUPER fast..like 3 days after my paypal was sent. everything was beautiful!! but one of the colourways was pretty different than what they show on the website.. i emailed the contact and never got a reply.. but i let it slide because i really liked te colour anyways, and it was in the discount section..so less $ than it would have been normally.

i got a recipt in my email listing the cost of yarn and shipping and what exactly i ordered ..

i ordered some more last week..2 orders actually because im doing some costom stuff and i'd already made an order for yarn, then someone asked for something different so i ordered again asking him to merge the 2 together...he didnt reply again to my email.
the yarn came this morning..again super fast.. but it didnt come with an invoice (neither did the first) and from my calculations im out 4 skeins of yarn..or $24.00 or something. so im not sure if he merged the orders or not..

i recieved no recipt from handpainteyarn in my email this time..

the thing is.. i didnt write down how many skeins i actually ordered(because i expected to get a recipt!)..im sure i put it in the paypal notes but i cant find it now.. it does say how much the total yarn cost is and then how much the shipping is in total for both orders in the paypal recipt..which is what my calculations are from..

i emailed them about this.. but im not sur if they will reply since the last 4 emails ive sent havnt been replied to..

so just wondering if anyone else has had transactions with them and if they got responses to questions or concerns.

i LOVE this yarn and i really want to keep buying from them, but i want to have good communcation with them. and i dont want to be out money.

Yes -- they are notoriously hit and miss. I once dealt with a situation where they had my money and I had no product for more than 6 months. (And this was a large order.)

I thought you could check your order history on their website...seems like I did this before. But I just went over and they have changed the look of their site a little and I couldn't find it. I ordered stuff a month or two ago and it came fine. I ordered more 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet : .

I havent had any problems ordering from them although shipping took close to a month. Its sounds like they didn't merge your orders. I hope it all works out.

I'm glad to see this thread going. I've been looking around the last couple of days for unique yarn and this one came up alot in the searches! Not sure I want to go wandering in there though as some of ya'll say it's a "hit and miss" thing, lol. Still, I'll read along...

Yes but I will have to look at the pictures again when I get home so I can describe the one I liked the most. I didn't want this thread to get bumped too far back so I figured I should reply.

What kind of yarn did you buy? How soft is it? I've been contemplating placing an order for a sweater for me so I'd like it to be soft enough to wear "next to the skin" as they say.

TIA
