In yoga class the other day the teacher was talking about her "huge" baby, then said it was 6 # 14 oz- almost 7. I almost fell over. Luke was 8#10 oz and I didn't consider him huge at all. of course I realize that different women grow different size babies, and it wouldn't have surprised me so much but this women is medium frame (bigger than myself) and her dh is a pretty big dude too. Anyway, so what is considered big these days? Once I said how big Luke was they told me he was huge, I said nah, I would consider him average. I also hear alot among "mainstreamers" (forgive the generalization for lack of a better term) talking about "huge" babies that turn out to be no more than 8 lbs all the time. It seems women are terrified of anything over 7.5 lbs.
