Am I the only one...

who gets excited by a loose BM. Like oooooh, maybe today is the day.
It really is the silliest thing. It's just that I have contractions every night, then they are gone the next morning, only to return at around 7 or 8pm. So the loose stool this morning made me smile.
My sil said to me last night, "Relax, even if it takes a couple more weeks, whats 2 weeks?" easy for a person to say who is NOT 9 mos pregnant.:

Oh my god, that's so funny ... I was just commenting to DH about how excited I am about going poo now! It seems like every single time I think to myself, "Oh, is this the beginning of the end?!?" You're totally not the only one. I find the entire thing totally exciting too.

Yea last couple days, it's been that way and I was like Yippie...hope this means something other than someting I ate...

Me, too! I never had this with my son, but I was like that about every 2 hours last night!

I should say, I was excited the first 2-3 times. After that... my butt just hurts from all the wiping

Wow, this is exactly my pattern for the last three days. I am glad most is at night because I can sleep through them, yet I feel good my body is opening up, preparing.....
Can't comment on the poo. Mine hasn't changed.

This is my pattern, too - only they start at 6pm or so...Last night they were regular for more than 3 hours - every 3-5 minutes. My DH even insisted I call the MW. She came after 9pm, and of course, they started to disappear! She did say I was 2.5 cm dilated, but cervix was still long. Oh well...it was PROGRESS!! When oh when???

Going to the bathroom has now become a huge thing to me. I have been checking the paper anxiously for signs of blood for the last few weeks...just like someone waiting for their period to know they aren't pregnant.

And loose poo....I never thought I would say this but it does make me excited that it might be an indicator that the train is leaving the station. So far it hasn't meant a damn thing.

Yep...I even 'check it all out' and look close....make sure it's not like some strange corn allergy or something!

I also check the paper--the other day I had some blood--turns out it may be an internal hemmoroid! lovely! Definitely not vagina borne!

Oh the joys of pg!!

Only on MDC can this thread exist (and get replies!)!

I totally hear you on the "night contractions"...pesky things that make me lose sleep due to excitement, and then when they're gone by the morning, it's a disappointment. One of these days, they'll last...

No loose poops here though...

Lots of boob leakage though...I felt like I was a cow yesterday! Is that a sign that something is going to happen soon? I haven't read about that in any of my books...and is it possible to leak amniotic fluid (very slightly) two days in a row but have no actual "water breaking"? I can't be sure, but I think the past two night I've had a tiny trickle...but it might just be extra wetness overall...sigh.

I have been so excited with every loose stool the last few days . I'm glad I'm not the only one

I've had the loose poops thing going on for at least a week or two. I'm glad I'm pooping again after months of having a hard time, but it's hard to not get excited about it. I've also been having contractions on and off since Wednesday. I've decided that she is probably ready to be born, but maybe I'm not ready? I'm going to work on this today.

I am so glad I am not the only one. My husband thinks I am weird.
And I definitely check the tp for blood or some great big hunk of mucus. So far nothing. I wonder if it is like "a watched pot never boils?". I try not to think about how pregnant I am, but it never works.

The sad thing is, I've been so constipated I'd LOVE to have loose stools! The other day I started checking the TP because I had 1 day of excessive CM and I thought I might be losing the mucous plug, but nothing since.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with the evening contractions! They start for me in late afternoon and go until about midnight. I have a cup of RRL tea to help them along a little. Last night one of DH's friends was over, a family dr., and he was all ready for a home birth when my contrax were 3 min apart but then they spaced out again. Which is just as well-- I don't need DH's friend knowing what my hoo-ha looks like! Hopefully there's some progress being made-- my midwife is rather hands-off so I haven't been checked yet, but might be this week.

Joining the poo club here as well!

Due Date of Nov 26 but lots of night ctx.. Fri night I had a good string of fairly rigourous ctx for 2 hours straight....

And then, nothing!

But the good news is my Dad got here today(to watch our DD during labor) so we are all set.
