Diapers (use 'em? what sort? how often?): Cloth, prefolds with covers usually. Rae's dad doesn't do cloth, so when he changes its disposables. We go diaperless as often as possible, but she's just started walking and becoming more independent, and I've "found" a few misses, so mostly we're diaperless outside.

Other: I learned about EC in November but was nervous to do it without Rae's dad's support. I finally decided to try it, and he doesn't do it at all, but he "doesn't mind" my doing it. So it's slow going since I'm seven and a half months pregnant with lower back pain and having a hard time getting us to the potty. But I'm really into it and I don't know anyone in the area, but would LOVE to have some EC playdates, and I want to start as early as possible with my son (due in August). Is it ok to give out/ask about where people live in these forums?

I've posted a couple of times, so I guess it's about time I introduced myself:

Diapers (use 'em? what sort? how often?): we mostly used cloth prefolds, now we have long enough dry periods and enough catches that we're in padded undies. I feel bad putting him in diapers now, but we do still need them for visits out, particularly to people's houses (I get too nervous that he'll pee on their couch or something).
Favorite 'potty': the standard BBLP. it's the only one that fits him.
Other info: there are so many ups and downs. it feels great when the communication is there! but sometimes I get frustrated and feel like I must be doing it all wrong I get a lot of support from hearing other people's experiences so I can relax and remember what this is really about.

Diapers (use 'em? what sort? how often?): KOL0's with shot elastic I know that sounds weird but with thw shot elastic they fit my 15lb dd perfect. I have brand new hh but i don't love them for ec. Mom made trainers and preemie diaper covers that come with dress I get on clearence or at yard sales the make the perfect underwear for cheap
Favorite 'potty': safety first pink potty from walmart it works as a potty bowl, a little potty and a potty seat

Other kids (+ages): Willem--reached potty independence at 30 months (Cding and lots of naked time starting at 14 months).
Diapers (use 'em? what sort? how often?): Cloth (FuzziBunz) at night and while out or when busier than usual at home (at least that is the plan) Hopefully dad will come around too.
Favorite 'potty': BBLP--thanks to an already potty trained toddler!

Diapers (use 'em? what sort? how often?): I'm doing paper diapers right now, but I'm thinking of switching to gdiapers, unless there's something better to do EC with. I've been going back and forth on what to do.
Favorite 'potty': We don't have one yet, but eventually I want to get a BBLP. He's still a bit small, so we still have to figure out what to use.
Other info: I'm a bit nervous about starting, yet excited. I wanted to start DS while he was still a little guy, so I'm hoping this goes well. I'm getting ready to start this next week, so we'll see how it goes! =)

EC'ing since: hmmm, gradually since about 2 wks, I guess.
Other kids (+ages): Salvador, 2.5 yrs
Diapers (use 'em? what sort? how often?): I have about every type of cloth diaper there is. Both boys are in dipes, since I did not use EC with Salvador. I have pocket diapers, fitteds, prefolds, etc. I mostly use prefolds with wool for Santiago while we are at home. It's getting cold in Michigan so I'm loving my woolies!
Favorite 'potty': We usually use my sitz bath that I used during my PP recovery, or the BBLP (I just hold him over either one - obviously he can't sit on it!) Occasionally I squat to hold him over the toilet, but my legs, knees and back tend to get tired that way.
Other info: This past week was very busy and I was getting frustrated that I was barely catching anything. Up until Friday - for the past 2-3 days, I've been much more relaxed and in-tune since we've mostly been home. We've had quite a few dry diapers and Santiago is starting to respond to my signals. Very exciting!!!

bumping this up to hear a bit more about the folks here these days.  ;)  I have a now almost 5 year old and an almost 3 year old, but while we are no longer EC'ing, I am still very involved in EC advocacy.

Oh my goodness. I'm pretty sure I was on this thread a long loooong time ago, but I suppose I might as well introduce myself again, since I may be back here soon. (I do plan to EC my new LO but I'm not sure how much I'll be on the forums.)

EC'd babe(s): DS, almost 4, graduated quite a while ago, hmm by 2.5 he was done for sure including nights. Don't remember exactly. And I'm 38 weeks pregnant with #2, who I will be ECing, barring unforeseen circumstances.
EC'ing since: DS was a few days old. Plan to start right away with this baby too, again, if possible.
Diapers: Yep, we use diapers for backup, not all the time, but most. We use mostly cloth but will be using disposables until the meconium is gone! Prefolds without covers, some fitteds this time, trainers for a little later, BG OS for nights and out and about and so forth.
Favorite 'potty': We have a BBLP. DS also liked to use the sink when he was really small, and of course outdoors is always a favorite.

Other info:  Best part about PT EC'ing is having changed a poopy diaper MAYBE 6 times in the last 5 months. It's also great when we change the little guy and find his diaper is dry!
