I saw this Friday night with DH. We both thought it was funny, and enjoyed the dominant strong female character -- not a damsel in distress... The humor is not intended for young children -- I would guess that 8 or 9 would be perfect -- qualified as American children, I am sure my Canadian cousins would get it at a younger age because there are a lot of England vs France jokes. Too violent for the under 5 set. But

We also saw it Friday and loved it. I was going to leave my almost 4 y/o home, but he wanted to go. He loved it and laughed a lot. I was a little surprised, because I thought it would be a little "old" for him. He laughed louder and more often than his 8 y/o brother.

I saw this on Saturday with a group that included a friend who grew up in Scotland. Dh and I ended up sitting a few rows back from them on the other end of the row, and we could hear him guffaw a number of times--and he's generally a quiet person.

My 3 yo old went with us and he didn't really get into it. I think it went over his head a bit and there were too many chase scenes. The "intensity" of the chase scenes just went on to long and lost his attention. We left early. Not bad at all, dh and I enjoyed it, but didn't hold the little one's attention. (He loved Curious George and Cars, BTW).
