I'm 8 wks 2 days (dating now by the ultrasound which pushed our EDD out a few days) and I'm feeling better than I was, though still being hit suddenly by nausea that comes and goes a couple of times per day. I think my worst week was week 6, but that's also when I think I was fighting off a cold, so maybe that made it worse? I'm most likely to feel nauseated when I'm hungry or tired.
Even though we heard that heartbeat on Nov. 2nd (u/s), I keep getting nervous when I'm feeling better. Luckily, my bbs are still tender and I'm ready for bed by 7:30 pm!

That's reassuring.
I wish I could hear the heartbeat again before we go to Oregon for all of December to visit my family. I'm wondering if I could go to a Planned Parenthood or somewhere (in Oregon) to just have someone take a listen around 12 weeks. (I'll be 10 wks 4 days my last midwife appt before the trip, and not back until I'm 15 weeks!)
I've taken out some maternity pants, but they are ridiculously big. I'm not actually too BIG for my regular clothes, I just can't bear the pressure on my tummy! I was probably 10 pounds heavier before I got pg with DS, plus I didn't start wearing maternity until I was 6 months along, so I don't have much that is in-between sizes, except my usual (loose-fitting) summer clothes.
I just ordered 2 pairs of (OMG-expensive! Waah!) maternity tights from Round Belly Clothing. I'm hoping I can then wear dresses most of the time without being too cold or having my waist pinched by my normal tights. I've got one pair of long-underwear pants that I can wear under dresses right now--not pretty, but okay for being at home.
Oh, I love that my gripes are all so small and petty right now.
