Fave movie scenes

I almost always have a fave scene or two from the movies I see. It's the scene that makes the movie for me.

The dance off scene in White Chicks. So so good.

The scene on the bus in "Almost Famous" where the band launches into Tiny Dancer together and gets all happy again.

There are so many great ones from Harold and Kumar Go to Whitecastle, but my fave is the scene near the end where Harold tells his scheming coworkers off in the restaurant.

Ferris Bueler's Day Off:the parade scene, the scene where Cameron's dad's car goes out the window, and Ben Stein saying "Bueller.....Bueller....Bueller" over and over in his famous monotone voice.

The Breakfast Club: the Hallway scene, the scene where Bender vents his about his father, and the scene where Principal Vernon and Bender go back and forth and he keeps upping the detention.

Dirty Dancing: The scene that Johnny and Baby finally hook up, and of course the "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" scene. :

I have more but my brain is getting sleepy lol. I will add more later. Please tell me your fave scenes.

Oh crikey, that's a difficult one.. I have so many, yet can't think of them at the moment.

Hmmm, the scene in Alien 2 when Ripley comes out wearing that big walking metal machinery and says 'Get away from her you B*tch'. What a kick ass character Ellen Ripley was.

The scene in The Colour Purple where Whoopi's character is reunited with her children. And the scene when she finally confronts her husband at the dinner table when she's leaving him.

Will try to think of some more later

I love that one!

The scene in Unbreakable where you put it all together and realize that Samuel L. Jackson's character (Mr. Glass) orchestrated all those train wrecks and building demolitions just to find his nemesis. Shivers.

The scene in Mystic River where Eastwood pans out on top of all the cops holding back Sean Penn's character and his goons when they make it to the Bear Pen. "Is that my daughter in there?!" I lose it every time during that scene.

In National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation where Chevy Chase's character wax'es up the flying saucer before going down the hill and he winds up going so fast he crosses streets etc.

In Junebug when the meerkat program comes on and Johnny tries to record it for Ashley.

Also in Junebug, the book report scene.

Man, I always have so many but can never come up with them all when I want to.

Boys On the Side, the courtroom scene where Woopie Goldberg's character tries to explain that she's gay to the @$$4ole lawyer:
"Are. You. GAY?"
"Yes. I. AM. And I'm sure you hear that from women all the time, but in my case it happens to be true."

Many scenes from Clueless, esp. when Ty and Cher get in an argument... "You know - why am I even listening to you?! You're a virgin. Who can't drive!"

The many triumphant singing scenes from Sister Act and Sister Act II.

Man, this is like asking me to name my favorite movie. I have too many to list!!

The scene in "Boondock Saints" where David Della Roca is explaining to his girlfriend that he shot her cat to bring closure to their relationship.

It was hilarious, I love my cats, but it was funny.

I know, I know, I'm a terrible person.

In Benny & Joon when Sam swings by the window of her hospital room...

Last of the Mohicans when he tells her to "Stay alive, no matter what occurs, I will find you!"...

In Mystery Men when they kill Captain Amazing, and when Hank Azara is stealing silverware from his mother and he tells her his identy...

Oh, there are so many!

I can't help it, I do love the Alien films. Except for Alien Ressurrection, which is ok, but Winona Ryder was SO miscast.

I do like my Sci Fi films though

Oh you guys brought up so many good ones that I had forgotten!!

Titanic: When Rose and Jack are at the "real party" down below with all the drinkin and happy dancing. Rose chugs a bunch of beer and stands on her toes (or whatever it was) and freaks everyone out lol. :

Parenthood! How could I forget? I love so many scenes from this movie :

1. Where the lights go out at the big dinner and Steve Martin goes to find what he thought was a flashlight. The lights come back on just in time to reveal that he is holding his sister's vibrator.

2. where Rick Moranis's character serenades his wife with a Carpenters song in her classroom in front of all her students to try and win her back. Her response is "Please...we're trying so hard to keep these kids off drugs."

3. on a more serious note from that movie the scene where Gil (Steve Martin) and his wife (played by Mary Steenburgen) discuss/argue about her being pregnant again at the worst possible time. I thought that scene was very moving and very real.

4. Almost all the scenes with Dianne Wiest in them. Her acting was terrific, and she played the role of the single mom to two teens perfectly. The scene where she finds the wrong set of pictures is great, and the scene where her SIL (Keanu Reeves) helps her with her young teen son was sweet.

Footloose: The book burning scene, the combine race scene, and the scene where Ren pleads his case to the town council. :

The scene in True Romance between Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken as Dennis Hopper explains the history of the Moore's conquest of Sicily. It's clear that the Dennis Hopper character is sacrificing himself and biding time for his son. It is also clear that the two actors absolutely loved doing this scene together. Their faces tell all.

White Chicks! LOL
the scene where Latrell takes the one white chick out and she puts that "A Thousand Miles" song on in the car and she says-How did you know?! I love this song! and then sings it...
another-Latrell hopped up on the drug from the drink going loca on the dance floor in neon paint with a whistle.
Oh man

Almost Famous
How do you know when it's kicked in?
and Russel in on the roof saying that he is a golden god!
I also like when PennyLane and William are watching Stillwater and she tosses his pencil out so they can enjoy the show.
How about when his sister comes home with him and she and the mom hug? that whole movie is great.

Forrest Gump-
When Jenny yells out to Forrest in Washington DC and they cross the water to be together!
when leuteniant Dan comes back for Forrest and Jenny's wedding with his fiancee.
When Forrest sits with his son watching Bert and Ernie.

Hmmm
Moonstruck
When her aunt and uncle are in bed and the uncle gets up to look at the full moon and she tells him he looks 25...awwww.
When Johnny comes home from Italy and the whole family is there together and the aunt lets him in
when Rose tells Cosmo to quit cheating and they make up and say Te Amo-makes me cry every time

Ron Burgundy
When Brian Fontana puts on Sex Panther cologne and then has to be sprayed down after
the news team fight sequence-Brick with the trident-
yeh, Brick killed a guy

Great ones!!

Ron Burgundy: The scene where he has an ill timed...ummm arousal situation?... in the office. Everyone is looking at his pants and he says "Don't act like your not impressed!"

Forest Gump: The scene where he meets his son, the scene where he is talking to Jenny at her grave. Oy...sob fest for sure. Oh and the part where Lt Dan shows up and Forest's shrimp boat crashes. He just says "That's my boat."

So many scenes from Dogma!

yeah, i love the "get away from her, you bitch!" scene in alien!! especially now since i have a daughter, i would totally bust out the robot suit and hafta f**k up an alien if it messed with her!

all i can think of right now, tho, is a bunch of "monty python" scenes...

in "the life of brian" when he pops out on the balcony completely naked and a huge crowd of people are below, cheering...

"the meaning of life" with they sing the "every sperm is sacred" song...

"the holy grail" when they tried to fight the white rabbit. (run away, run away! ) the whole movie was chock full of good scenes, really!

What about in Life of Brian when the woman is standing in the kitchen and pops out a baby. Askes an older kid to do something with this one. : I don't know why, but that scene always cracks me up.

I love that movie! Dianne Wiest is one of my favorite actresses. Didya know her son in that movie was played by a young Joaquin Phoenix?

How about in Practical Magic when Nicole Kidman accompanies her sister to the calling tree meeting-gets all the other moms worked up-and Sandra Bullock gets to be the top of the tree-
Now *that* was me

and when Sandra and the aunts are walking thru town and Dianne Wiest is greeting everyone and Stockard Channing tells her to give it up...LOL...

OMG, Ron Burgundy! San Diego means "a whale's vagina" :

40 year old virgin! I love it when Cal is telling him how to get girls and says, "Look at me, I'm ugly as f#$@, but I get with women!" and Andy says, "I am NOT ugly as F#$@!!" So funny

Elf, when Zooey Deschanel is in the shower and Will Ferrell is singing "Baby it's cold outside". Also the part where he's working in the mailroom and he gets drunk with the other guy, HYSTERICAL.

Shawshank Redemption, when the warden finds the hole that Andy made.

The Color Purple, all of it. It's my all time favorite movie, I cry everytime I see it.

Ghost, when she sees him going to the light at the end...

Bachelor Party-
the dead mule in the elevator and the door keeps opening up on different floors...
