Stepford wives is being remade this summer. Nicole Kidman and Faith Hill and they are shooting it in conneticut...

My favorite line from the old movie...... "I bleed, Karen, do you?" and then she sticks a knife in her.... and of course Karen, just says..whoops and serves coffee.

Yeayyyyyyy! I'm so glad you guys are coming! And Veganmamma, getting a booth! What will you have at the booth? My daughter will still be a teeny weenie baby, I don't know how I'll feel about taking her at only 4 months old (encouragement...hint hint). I do want to go.

We take my dd everywhere and have since birth. 4 mos isn't really teeny tiny, it's perfect because she won't be crawling but will be into everything around her.

Hip Mama is a zine and website, Ariel Gore who will be at mamagathering is the editor/founder. She also writes books. It's pretty cool, it's a parenting mag that is femenist and political, you should check it out and get a subscription. I used to go to the web site before I found MDC

Mama Maggie,

Hip Mama is an absolutely amazing resource for radical, conscious mamas. I read it cover to cover. I am currently reading Ariel Gore's new book Atlas of the Human Heart, her autobiography. It is definitely worth reading if you have the time. I have a lot of respect for her. I look to Mothering for the good info and encouragement on AP, and I look to Hip Mama to confirm my sanity and hear from radical, activist mamas who don't "still love Dubya" and never did.
