I was wondering what you pay per year in tuition? The school's in our district are horrendous- low in achievment, high in violence, drop out rate etc., we can't afford private school- but the Catholic school is starting to look like a good option. It's known for being a good school, and as DH is a member of the church I think it's not too expenisve. I didn't call to find out yet (DD isn't even 2 yet) Just wondered what the going rate is? And of course- if you're having good experiences there.

We pay $1670/year for the 1st child, but our school is one of the least expensive in the area. I think around $2000/year is average. (The local Catholic high-school is $5000/year.) We have been nothing but thrilled so far. DS is in kindergarten, btw, and we are members of the church.

Around $2000/year for k-8. $5000/year for non-parishoners and $3500/year for parishoners for HS here.

I think ours is around $4000 a year for the first child, with breaks on siblings. I think this year it was $11,000 for four children. Our dd is almost 2, so we haven't really looked at it but it's where she will be going Our parish school is the smallest (one class per grade with only 20 students in eact grade!!!) and least expensive of all the Catholic schools here (there are a lot.)

Catholic schools in this area are a little more expensive, but still a great deal compared to other private schools. For Church members it's about $5000 or a little more. For non-members it's $7500 or a little more. That's for the K-8th schools. HS is a little more. We are non-members and we love our school. Ours is not sponsored by the church, but by the marists...so all families pay the same...$7500. It's a small school...there will be about 70 students in each grade. It's K-8th which I really like. The kids are learning alot and the families are nice. I think the class size is a little large, but given all the other benefits it was the best fit for our family. No school (even homeschool) is going to be perfect..so you have to find the best fit for your family and work from there. All the schools will also have an annual fund and expect you to give beyond tuition.

My mom teaches at a Catholic school here. Tuition is $3,450 or $4,450 if you aren't a member of one of the parishes. There are discounts if you have more than one child attending.
