bird feeders

Hello! Does anyone know how to make some birdfeeders using stuff around the house? ie: toilet paper rolls, milk jugs, etc.
We have this tree in front of our house that we were planning on cutting down this summer but lo and behold- we now have little feathered tennants! So, I figure I'll let the kids make some feeders for them!

I like to just use a pinecone or stale bagel half, spread on some peanut butter and roll it in birdseed.

There are ways you can do it with milk jugs, I'm sure, I just don't have the info.

Might want to google search it!

You could also come up with a crafty way to make a birdbath, birds love having water to drink and bathe in!

We're on no-birdbath aka standing water alerts b/c of West Nile - AGAIN!

You can get mosquito dunks - pellets you put in standing bodies of water that kill mosquito larvae but are harmless to animals. It's not a bad idea to get some if you have other standing bodies of water besides bird feeders, like large ruts that always have puddles in them or whatever.
