Hospital with as little intervention as possible. We're taking a Hypnobirthing class after the New Year.

Hospital...that is how I had my last two. I want to have this baby totally naturally but want to make sure that there are drs. around incase something happens (had a very bad experience with DS1--having the cord around his neck, h/r dropping etc.).

At home with a mw.

I just gotta find a new mw. We moved 800 miles away from our old one :

I had the same thing happen with my first. Mw are so well trained that it was no problem, often happens.

At home with a midwife. Our first was born in the hospital. I made it to 42 weeks before being bullied into an induction.

I hope to avoid all of that this time. I want to start labor on my own.

Homebirth.

I am seeing a midwife, but I am planning on her not being here. That's the mindset I need to be in. Because even if she is here, I can't see anything happening any differently. But, I know from my last birth that if I'm planning on her making it, and doesn't, it does change things for me.

I think it is amazing to see how huge a number of us are birthing at home -- nearly 60%! What a change from what you normally see!

I chose home w/ a midwife because she will probably be there. But she does Zion births so I'm not worried about her interfering with our UC unless I ask her to

At the hospital where I will be having my third C-Section. Midwives can't attend homebirths in Ky and I can't find a midwife or doctor that will let me V-Bac.

Hospital with a MW and doula...there's no one in the state who will deliver at home : . We could have gotten someone from a neighboring state, but since it's a first baby and I don't know how fast or slow my labor might be, I wasn't totally comfortable with that idea.

BTW, what's a Zion birth?

At home, again.

At home, unassisted. I've actually found a midwife that I feel really comfortable with and am going to for some prenatal care. (I know I could do my own but I enjoy our visits.) I just cannot imagine wanting her at the actual birth. Anytime I try to visualize the birth with anyone except DH being around (midwife, friend, relative) I feel very resentful of their presence.

We are planning our 3rd homebirth
