Is this my mucous plug?

So yesterday morning I woke up and went to pee and saw pink on the tp. That was all for the rest of the day until about 5:30 p.m. when I felt some discharge coming out and went to check. This time more mucousy and still pink. Then more pink for the rest of evening but none through the night. Then when I wipped this morning some more pink but no real discharge or musousy stuff. Does it sound like I'm losing my mucous plug. I just assumed it was but now I'm wondering. Is it usually a lot of mucous because I've only had a little. Thanks and sorry if its tmi

It definitely could be. Also there are thousands of little capillaries around the cervix that can 'break' if you are dialating/effacing....

It's usually a sign of mucus plug/cervical changes. If it was bright red and heavy, then I'd call my doc/mw/etc asap. Heck, you could go ahead and call anyway, but it still could be 'days' / weeks until baby comes...but it seems like you are progressing (something is going on) if you are having pink spotting and a heavier discharge.

I lost some of my plug today!! It was really dark brown so they had me come in and checked it out!! I am 80% effaced, 1cm dilated and she is at a -1. I know I could go on that way for along time but I'm hoping it means she coming soon!!

Yeah, isn't it exciting! I'm still waiting, my due date was yesterday. I have a question for you, when you lost your mucous plug was it a lot? Mine didn't seem to be that much, I thought it would be but it wasn't. Thanks
