Ugh! Absolutely! I think it's just stretching/spreading, but...ow! Walking is just NOT the same!

Pubic bone pain here, too . It sucks.

The pubic bone is not a full bone, but a joint. And all the increased relaxin in this trimester means more opening of the joint and thus more pain. :

Happily here is an exercise that actually helps. You need a partner though.

Lying on your back, get partner to hold your knees together, about 6 inches apart. You try really hard to open your legs...Make sure partner is hugging your legs...Then release.

Then have partner put their forearm between your knees (6+ inches apart again) and you try to push them together. Then switch and repeat a few times.

This realigns your pubic joint and the pain is greatly reduced.

I'm seeing a naturopath for this right now. He said my pain is coming from two ligaments that are located about 2 inches away from my vagina and one muscle that is connected in the centre of my butt. He applies accupressure to these points and it makes the pain go away temporarly right now, but it will improve with each visit. The pain is horrible, when i move it is shooting pain that makes it so i can't even speak.

I had this problem with #2 but not with #1, and now it is still there but not as bad with #3.

I am VERY mindful of how I roll around in bed, and get up. Keep your legs/knees together as much as possible. This takes some practice, but has become like second nature to me.

Yep me too! It was really bad a few weeks ago, but has eased off a lot since then. Still painful to roll over or get out of bed, but at least walking is not so bad that I cry when I do it.

Julia, thanks for the exercise, I will definitely be doing that!

Sit on your birth ball as much as you can! This is helping me cope wuite a bit. I am also seeing a chiropractor next week that specializes in treating pregnant women. I'll lyk if it helps!

I saw my chiropractor Monday and it almost made it worse. He didn't get a good solid adj out of my lower back area. Neck and upper back and mid-back are great. My pelvic area is just so "loose" that it's like I guess "magnetics" toys, everything slips in and out without much effort, but when it's out, it's painful.

Oh man!!! You are singing my tune... It is so horrible here that I am starting to have a very hard time walking and dh has to help me roll over in bed. I can hardly pick up my kids....

Sigh... and I worry that I still have about two months... How am I going to survive!?

I cannot tell you how relieved I am to know that I am not the only one. I really struggled with this a month ago or so and then it sort of dwindled and then came back recently and it makes me dread getting down on the floor or hauling myself into bed because it hurts so much to then get up or shift positions. The last two days have actually been a little less painful and I don't look like a total gimp when I walk. I am going to try some of those exercises that were mentioned ... hopefully I can work this thing out because I still have almost seven weeks to go and would hate to be dealing with this for that long.

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone either - misery loves company so they say.
The left front pubic bone/ joint pain combined with the excutiating round ligament pain I get is horrible.
The round ligament pain will immobilize me more than this pubic joint pain. And my RL pain isn't seconds, it's minutes and sticks around a while as well.

I would like to join the pelvic pain club too... the worst for me is that first rollover in the morning. it is excruciating and then I feel the affects of my full bladder..as I am crawlign over my sleeping toddler...one of these days I am gonna end up peeing on him....I swear...

Anyone want to had acid burning throat feeling to the list of pains?
I guess it would be called "heart burn", but it's in my throat.

That's where I feel it too. Right at the base of my throat, just above my collar bone.

And I can add a really super annoying clicking in the back of my pelvis, right near the sacrum. Doesn't hurt but holy crap is it annoying! I can't wait to see the chiro next week.

Me too! It hurts SO much, and sometimes I spit up acid. I've taken to keeping a big bottle of Mylanta in my drawer at work that I take a swig of when it gets really bad...So lovely!
