Okay... I've been having contractions about 5 minutes apart for the last hour and a half. Lost my plug some on Saturday (blood tinged), loose stools all Sunday, misc. contractions and high BP (which landed me and babe being monitored at L&D for an hour) Monday, and today lost the rest of the bloody plug throughout the day.
Thing is - contractions are only about 45 seconds - not quite a minute. Normally, I wouldn't go until they were a little longer, but 1)we're an hour from the hospital and 2)it's raining turning into 2-4 inches of snow now.
My hospital is great - they showed us that again on Monday. My doctor is incredible (she could have suggested breaking waters with my high BP on Monday, but told me to go home and rest and hang in there - that she really didn't think I'd need another weekly prenatal and baby would choose to be here soon). So I'm not worried about them trying to keep me if things aren't moving too well. If anything, we could crash and get a little extra sleep there before things really take off.
But I'm just not sure. I know these are "real" contractions - much different than the BHs I've been having. But I'm worried that if we wait too long that we'll be having a baby in the car in the snow on some dark rural highway...
Would you go? If not, how much longer would you wait?
