Oh it hurts, it hurts, it hurts!!!

Happy thoughts, breatheeeeee, relax, breatheee...

I woke up at 2:45am because of a strong pain...lower back, radiating to front. Ten minutes later, another. Went to the bathroom between each one. Now they've been coming around every 10 minutes; 2:45, 2:55, 3:04, 3:15 (with some clear fluid down my legs), 3:25, 3:32, 3:43, 3:50...

I feel pleasant in between them...now I must turn my mind to bouncing and breathing and relaxing...there's no way I can sleep through this...but I look forward to the next one because I don't want this to be false labour!!!

Will keep updating.

AtPeace, Congrats. Sounds like you are making progress. Still, at night, so try to rest. YES, I do know exactly how impossible this statement is, because at the moment, your brain can say "I should sleep/rest... but the other part of your brain is excited about what is happening, when it is happening, how far along you are.... but whatever rest you can get now will give you needed energy reserves for later. Good labor!

Me and DH dtd last night , along with a small dose of EPO and a very small glass of wine. All in an effort to relax. Looks like it did the trick cause I'm right here with ya.
Woke up to some pain. No fluid yet but a couple trips to the bathroom and some nausea. Contractions every 3 to 4 min, lasting about a min. Good stuff. I hope we BOTH have our babies today.

Wow Jennifer! Sounds like your contractions are much more frequent than mine! 3-4 min?! Are you having a homebirth? If not, you'd better get ready for one

Mine are lasting between 30-60 seconds, and the average is close to 50 secs. And now they're about 7-8 minutes apart...

Nov. 15 sounds like a lovely birthdate, don't you think? That was DH's guess and my mom's guess about when the baby would be born...we'll see!

Looks like we are all awake. Crossing my fingers this is it for you. Hoping same for me. DTD last night too and after sleeping about 3 hrs had some VERY strong surges (contractions) which finally made me get out of bed. Unfortunately since I've been up on the ball, they've gotten a little less intense but still coming.

I'm doing little internal cheers for the baby and my body to keep it up!! Not sure at what point I'd wake DH but if this IS it, I want to relax in a warm bath and do some relaxation. If it isn't and just a false alarm, I'm fine with staying awake a bit longer and riding out the trial run (gotten used to these late night wake fests anyway) and napping tomorrow with DD to make up the sleep.

Yeah, they are fairly close together, but I had my DH check my cervix to get an idea for how things are going. He said baby is definitely lower and cervix softer but only 2 cm. So no calling for childcare yet. We can probably wait for the sun to come up.
3 of us on the same day would be great!

Three of us would be great!!! My dad's bday is 15 Aug, My anniversary 15 Sept, My bday 15 Oct, So this baby being born 15 Nov would be so neat!!! We've been talking to her and telling her that would be a great day!

Now as long as we can make the trip to the hospital before rush hr (6am-9am here!) we'll be good since it will double our travel time from 40 minutes to 1 1/2.

I'm at about every 7 minutes but they are now really short and not very strong Don't think DH would appreciate being woken up to DTD again to try and get things moving faster

Unfortunately this is similar to last Saturday's pattern, so I'll just have to wait and see. ugh, the waiting, the waiting......I'll be checking in on this thread so please keep me posted!!!!!

Three in one day WOULD be a nice occurance! I hope this is really it for all of us...and perhaps a few more other gals too!

I lay down for an hour and tried to sleep, but even though I was totally relaxed in between, they kept coming every 7 minutes or so...pretty strong too...so I got up and when I'm walking around they're shorter duration, but closer together, like 3-5 minutes...what is up with that? I thought the "real deal" is supposed to be REGULAR contractions, not dependent on positioning...

It's going to be a loooong day...

Mom2emerson - the 15th sure seems like a really lucky number for you!

Jennkraig - that's really cool how your DH can check your cervix! Your own personal midwife!

I'm going to bounce on my ball again...keep in touch ladies!
