Weight gain check in - Page 2

Between weeks 30 and 31 (measuring about one week ahead) and have gained about 8 pounds. I was a bit overweight to start so it's fine. Most of the gain has come in the last few weeks, before that I had lack of appetite then serious anxiety about stuff in life was giving me a queasy stomach and I was not eating much at all. At 25 weeks, I was 2 pounds below my first appt. weight; at 29 weeks, 4 pounds up and I would guess I've gained a few more. My back is killing me. I can't believe I have almost ten more weeks to endure.

I've gained about 35 pounds at 32 weeks. More than I'd like, but oh well, I suppose it's what the baby needs.

I've gained about 30 lbs at 32 weeks.

30 weeks and 20 to 25 pounds depending on which scale I consult and the day of the week. Last weekend I had a stomach bug so I think I lost a few pounds. But I've also been spending tons of time on redecorating projects, so I'm always moving.

Midwives aren't concerned, but I'm not happy.

I feel better now! I'm 30 wks (measuring 32), and I'm pretty sure I've gained about 50 lbs so far. (I quit looking at the scale when it hit 185, which was 40 lbs. A month ago.)

I exercised a lot, until I found out I was preg., and then I completely quit. (Dumb, I know.) Frankly, I started eating a lot crappier, too. (What the hell? I was gonna get fat anyway .) At any rate, the doc. hasn't said a whole lot. But I know I'm gonna be super pissed at myself when I realize in Feb. just how much I have to lose!

Um about 40lbs at 32 weeks : I've gone from 118 to 158. Midwives aren't concerned at all as I don't look like I've gained that much... I'm trying to not be concerned, I keep telling myself that this is what my baby needs and I'll worry about it in January Its still crazy though.

Exactly what I'm telling myself! Except, I just keep asking myself....why does my baby need me to have a big butt?

Well, I just had a midwife appt today, and I didn't think I'd gained that much but I gained 7 pounds in 3 weeks! A total of 28 pounds in 31 weeks. Measuring only half a week ahead, and the midwife said that I look so big and rounded because my baby has a lot of cushiony water around him/her.

I'm across the lake from you in Plattsburgh!

We're actually relocating to Burlington sometime next year (hopefully). DH grads from SUNY P-burgh in a couple weeks then it's onto looking for jobs and/or getting into grad school at UVM so we can start house hunting.

Blessings,
Holly

Is your practioner concerned? Are your fundal height, the baby's activity & heartbeat good? If so don't worry!

I know, I know, easier said than done.

Seriously though, I'm only 4 pounds over my starting weight too. Since you're making the extra effort to eat well & everything I wouldn't stress too much (unless there's a problem you didn't mention in your op of course...)

Also, remember that from this point on the main thing the baby will be doing is adding weight so your weight probably will go up more over the next few weeks.

I'm about 22 lbs. at 31 weeks. I go by scale at home because I weigh at the same time of day with the same amount of clothes on (none). If I went by my midwife's scale or the scale at the many OB offices I've switched around to, it's wacky numbers (depending on shoes, if I'm wearing a sweater, if it's after lunch, etc.).

Up 12 pounds at 32.5 weeks. Last time I was up 60 pounds by now :

I have gained 24 lbs at about 32 weeks. Granted I gained five pounds in two weeks at my last appointment, so I just might be up a little more than that .

This is the part that gets me about weight checks -- so many variables! My appointmetns are always in the evenings so dh can go, so I've got nighttime swelling and meals counting against me, not to mention variations in clothing... thank goodness the mws don't seem terribly concerned about my gain.

In fact, if I go by my home scale, I've only gained (ha, "only") 40lbs, instead of the 52 the mws scale shows...

What is it with MW scales?
My midwife has a scale that I just want to smash! It weighs me 5 lbs heavier than my gym and home scale.
