How late do you sleep?

Moms, I love love love that homeschooling allows me to sleep later in the mornings! It's probably the #1 perk for me. Mostly because I don't sleep well at night, I have mild insomnia and for years until we pulled dd out of school, I had to get up early.

Still, I know a few homeschoolers who do choose to get up early.

Just wondering how late others are sleeping.

I get up at 8, which is when my dh leaves for work. The little kids get up at 7, so I get up to be with them.

Namaste!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I get up between 8-9am and my kids do the same.

I get up at 7, but only because I have to get Maddie on the bus. Lots of times I go back to sleep though because I'm usually up until 1 or 2AM.

On days with no school I sleep until about 9.

6, unfortunately

We get up between 8 and 9 too. I also suffer from insomnia and I'm noticing that my older son is showing tendencies for that as well.

6am. Not by my choice though... my kids are early birds just like their daddy. I would rather sleep until noon

My little dancing banana wakes up between 6 and 7am, so that means I have to get up too. My oldest sleeps until 8 or 8:30. I am hoping both sleep in a bit as they get older.

We are up between 7 and 7:30. I would love to push until 8, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

It varies depending on what we have planned for the day. Usually we are not up until 10 am at the earliest, and noon at the latest. If we have something we need to do (appointments, meetings, etc) we get up at whatever time is needed.

I try and be up between 8-8:30, gives me so much more daylight especially now that the sun is setting so early.

The "Boo alarm" won't let me sleep past 6:30am most days. During our public school days I used to joke that she'd only sleep in during the week. On weekends, when nobody *had* to be up, she'd be awake at the crack of dawn.

If she'd let me I could easily go until 8 or 8:30am. Especially in the winter when the covers are sooooo nice and cozy. D gets up anywhere from 7am to 9am. He's more than capable of getting his own breakfast and amusing himself so I never have to get up for him anymore.

I feel icky if I am in bed past 8. I usually get up around 7:45.

About 6:30 ~ but not by choice! I've got early birds in my house but I'm a nite owl myself!

I'm usually up by 7:30, the little one is my alarm. My oldest wakes up at 6 and Dusty wakes up about 8:30. I remember the days when I used to be able to go to bed around 3 am and get up around 10. I really miss those days.

When my kids were little and my oldest was in K & 1st, we slept in until about 9-10am at the latest.

Now my kids naturally get up between 7am-9am. I get up early, around 6:30am, because I do daycare and have schoolagers arriving between 7am-8am.

We're the same way. We're total night owls around here.

Pre-hubby working graveyard shift we were up about 10-11am since the kids would go to bed around 11pm-midnight and hubby and I would head to bed by 2am.

Now, however, the hubby is working 12 hour graveyard shifts 7p-7a so the whole family adjusted our schedules to match. The kids go to sleep around 4am and get up about 1-2pm, I go to bed by 6am and I'm up by 2pm most days, and hubby goes to bed around 8-9am and sleeps until 4-5pm. We give new meaning to "Night Owls".

His boss was worried about him volunteering to cover the late shift while they train another guy but he told her "Hey my kids are homeschooled, my wife works from home, I get to see them whenever I want!" One of the perks of homeschooling, you can live by whatever schedule works for you.

I've been trying to get up around 7:30 to have some alone time. The baby sometimes gets up with me but goes down for a nap an hour later. Tania sleeps til 11:00 on some mornings. She stays up pretty late.
