(pardon if this sounds weird/strained - copied/pasted from another forum where I first asked the question...)
I had my daughter on Wednesday morning (birth story will follow eventually). No meds, but a very intense and painful labor - and a very short pushing stage with some tearing along the scar from my son's tear. We came home from the hospital that evening. My bleeding has been pretty minimal, at least in part (I believe) to the nettle leaf I mixed into my RRL tea throughout the pregnancy.
My question, though, is related to pain now. I'm having after pains, but I can identify those. I'm having some other pain that feels almost like air stuck around my ribs and neck - like the pain I was warned would come a day or so after my gallbladder removal 1.5 years ago. I'm fine when I'm sitting or laying down, but standing is extremely uncomfortable.
Is this normal or something I should mention to my doctor? I don't remember it from my son's birth. I'm currently taking 600 mg ibuprofen as needed (they said every 4 hours - it has been more like twice a day). It helps take the edge off the pain, but it's not overly helpful.
