Serger for $100 or less

I am looking for a used serger that will cost me $100 or less. I am looking on ebay and I have found several singers that are under $100. Most of the threads that I see on here talk about the more expensive ones. I just want it for decorative edging on my fleece outerwear and maybe to make by slippers. Any help would be great.

If my budget were very limited I think I'd buy from a local dealer and get a warranty. You know the old adage, you get what you pay for. $100 isn't very much in the serger market, so I think you ought to avoid ebay.

What would be a decent machine even through a dealer for such a low price?

Over a decade ago I bought a singer serger which had been returned to the store (the woman who bought it couldn't figure out how to use it) for $50. I needed to buy a manuel which was another $18. It did need to go into the shop once for a tune up that cost another $30. It needs to go in again (it's probably more than $30 by now.)

I was leaning towards the Singer line. I guess I just need to look at some of them at the local shops.
