Help! Going on a 'date' with DD, lol. What movie would you see?

Someone gave me some movie passes (whoo!) and I am planning on taking DD. She's 28 months.

It's a toss up between Happy Feet and Flushed Away. I have to say that I am leaning towards Flushed Away because I am a fan of Aardman's work.

I haven't seen any thing for Flushed Away, just Happy Feet.

But good thing you have passes! Be prepared to leave early incase she isn't enjoying herself.

Either one sounds fine to me, but personally Id rather see Happy Feet in theatre. Id be more likely to see flushed away at home on DVD. Have fun!

Flushed Away is shorter, if that helps. With previews the run time for Happy Feet was just over two hours whereas Flushed Away was 1hr45.

ETA: the run time of them both is about the same, so if you head in later to Happy Feet it could work. It's just that because it's loaded with way more previews (previews for Christmas movies for 2007) than Flushed Away.

I think that it might be easier for her to follow Happy Feet as there is singing and dancing, where as in Flushed Away there is more on the story line. We just saw Happy Feet, my boys are 6 & 8 and they really loved it. I would have rather seen Flushed.

Hope you have fun!

We saw both Happy Feet & Flushed Away (5 & 7 year old kids).

DP & I both prefered Happy Feet.

DS & DD both prefered Flushed Away.

The animation on Happy Feet was just AMAZING. I think there was a bit more lol at Flushed Away, though.

Ds was a little bored at flushed away, but he was terrified by the birds and seals in happy feet. Terrified. He came home and told my mom that the movie was EVIL and I have never heard him use that word before ! Honestly, I would not have thought that a seal could look that scary. It looked like a dinosaur and fills the entire screem with fangs dripping for quite sometime. I personally enjoyed it, but too much for ds (38 months).

I have seen only Flushed Away -- I do not think it's appropriate for a 2 y.o. -- violence might be upsetting, and the jokes just not funny for that age (but DH & I laughed our butts off!!).
