DW lived in France for a year-and-a-half. And the translation is (drum roll please :

She has little because she does not see anything.

DW says that she doesn't know what that means in the context of wherever you pulled it from. It might make more sense if voit (which means sees) had been veux which would be to want. But, whatever floats your boat.

It's a comic strip. They were given the text and have to draw the pictures (for French). This is the rest of the text with what we think:

Elle reveille tout a coup. She woke suddenly.
Est-ce que se rêve ou est-ce que je suis dans l’espace. She thinks that she is in space.
Elle est confuse. She is confused.
Elle se demand <<ou sont mes aimis?>>. She asks "where are my friends?".
Elle dois sortir mais elle ne trouve pas la sortie aux extraterrestes. She needs to leave but can't find the exit of the spaceship.

That is just weird. The only thing I see that you missed is that in the second line is actually "Am I dreaming or am I in space?"

Maybe "she has little" means "She has no choice" or "she doesn't have much she can do" because she can't see anything.

I would actually guess that it should be "elle a peur parce qu'elle ne voit rien du tout." - she is scared because she doesn't see anything. (Easy typo, since the r and t are right next to each other.) That makes more sense to me with the rest of it.

I think the peut was supposed to be peur, which means afraid... so "she was afraid because she couldn't see anything at all."

I agree, especially that "peut" means "can" and not "little". Little in French is "peu" not "peut". Anyway, there are a lot of other typos in the passage...

It couldn't be pleut because you have to use the participe passé for passé composé... it would have to be "Elle a pleuré", not pleut.

I'm a native french speaker and let me tell you, that entire thing is full of errors, and very poorly written.

In fact very little of it makes sense.

You dont' say Elle reveille, you say Elle se reveille

Second line should read: Est-ce que je reve...

"Elle se demand ou sont mes aimis?" - I suppose they mean "amis" friends

The next sentence makes NO sense
" Elle dois sortir mais elle ne trouve pas la sortie aux extraterrestes" - literally translated means, : she must leave but cannot find the exit to the extraterrestrials.

I'm pretty sure dd said the teacher gave them the sentences! I have 20 year old hs French, I'm no help to her!

I would guess it's "She can't b/c she can't see one (an exit) at all." To flesh out the translation. But the grammar for that sentence is wrong for that. Just seeing it in context though with the voit makes me think that's what it might be. Or supposed to be.

Maybe you could correct the french in the process so at least the teacher understands where the pictures come from.

Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty poor French class. It always made me laugh when I was living in France trying to use my American high school and college French skills ... well, I should really say it made other people laugh. French people. I'm stiill mad about all the wrong stuff I had to unlearn.
