Thank you for starting this thread. I didn't know anything except the the other threads and news that said some guy was being sued. He is getting some great PR out of all of this.

I watched the clips and interviews and so far, it is funny! But, yes, like Nicole Lisa says, it has you feeling hopeless afterwards. The hate and racism is EVERYWHERE in America.

I also thought he was not mocking the Jewish couple in any way. He was mocking Borat as an antisemite. That couple came off as very caring and wonderful. I found myself hoping they didn't have their feelings hurt when he ran out of the B&B. But, evidently, they did.

The movie was painful to watch. I laughed to defend myself from some of the awful truths. At the rodeo, when he made his speech, I kept wondering "how long are these insane people going to applaud his sentiments "May George Bush drink the blood of every man, woman and child in Iraq" (massive applause!). Who are these people? Are they drunk? (At least the fraternity boys were falling down drunk when they made complete *sses of themselves.)

Maybe Borat can get together with Mel Gibson and Michael Richards and help them work out their problems.

OTOH, I think Sasha has more than a few prejudices of his own, but he has also found a clever way of making $ with it.
