IMO, King is the best writer out there. I absolutely love his books. I have read them all, with the exception of Lisey's Story. At least half of them I have read twice or more, some several times. There is very little he has written that did not completely impress me, and I have a feeling thats only cause he set the standard so high and that if I were to have read those same few books under the name of another author I would have been alot more impressed. I feel like King writes the way I think. His writing style is awesome and his unique descriptions are not only unique but also so right on. Not to mention the way he can weave a whole community or his great story lines.
I remember when he wrote The Wastelands (3rd in Dark Tower Series for those who don't know) I was so tore up about how he left it hanging like that! I prayed to God that nothing happened to him before he got a chance to write the next one. Whenever the thought crossed my mind I'd get all worried about it and I would think to myself, "if that man gets himself killed before the next book im gonna desecrate his grave!" Thank God he finished the series.
I have Lisey's Story coming to me for x-mas. I hope it won't dissapoint, especially since it's gonna be his last. I'm a bit worried cause I have heard it compared to Bag of Bones, and although I only read that one once and I enjoyed it, it was not one of my favorites of his.
