has anyone tried Bare Minerals makeup?

Has anyone tried Bare Minerals makeup? I see the infomercial all the time. It looks expensive and too good to be true but I am intrigued. It is made of micronized minerals. Does anyone know if this is safe (what if you breathed in the powder?)? Or is it at least safer than the traditional makeup?

Thanks!

I've been using it exclusively for about a year and a half. The stuff is awesome!! Feel free to pm me, or post here if you have any questions. If you want to visit a forum full of ladies literally addicted to this makeup pm me and I'll give you the URL.

So, it must be worth the money? How often do you have to order refills? Hopefully less often than every month or two like they seem to indicate.

I have redness around my nose and mouth that no makeup covers for long. Watching the infomercial you would think it would help. On some of the models in seems to change the color of their face slightly when you compare to the before picture. Do you notice that?

Do you know, are micronized minerals safe? What mineral are they? What if you breath it in?

I would love the link you mentioned.

Thanks so much for the quick feedback.

I sent you the link to the forum. They have a website also and it lists all the places you can buy it. Personally I wouldn't sign up for the continuity program through the infomercial. I've heard horror stories about the customer service. If I was just trying it out, I would say order the kit, but don't sign up for continued delivery.

The infomercial gives you two different foundations. You may not need both colors. So why continue to recieve an item you may not need? Plus the foundations in the infomercial are the size of the blushes usually sold by BE. The normal foundations are larger, a full size pot lasts me about a year. But the smaller blush size would be great to have for travel, and they can be refilled once you run out.

IMO, the infomercial is a good deal, because of the brushes.

You can order BE (bare escentuals/minerals) from their mail order service (not associated with the infomercial) and get free samples of anything they sell. They also have boutiques mostly in larger cities, and some Ulta stores carry it. QVC also sells it, but I would only order new items and kits from QVC as the prices are the same as retail for everything else, and you get killed on shipping.

Hope I didn't overload you with info, I love this stuff and have a ton of it. Notice the one website is called addicts, lol they mean it.

I use it. It's not as wonderful as they say on the infomercial, but it is good. I had acne problems as a teen and still have breakouts right before my period every month. This is the only stuff I can use that doesn't irritate my skin and make me break out. Plus, I hate wearing make-up, but feel I need to to cover acne scars. I don't mind wearing bear minerals b/c it feel so light, you really can't tell you have it on.

I really like it and it lasts forever. I bought my first foundation last November and I still have half of it left. I use it daily, so that's saying something.

I use it and I love it! DH actually saw the infomercial and told me he thought I would like to try it. Then we discovered that they have a store here in Atlanta. I went in for a makeover, and I was hooked.
