Hello all. I posted and introduced myself a few weeks ago, but haven't been too active posting since. I lurk, but never know what to say. I'm working on that.
I wanted to update you all on my progress. I'm 39w2d today. Had my home visit two weeks ago- everything was great! I have all my home birthing supplies ready and gathered together, my house is (somewhat) clean, and now I'm just waiting on this little man to decide he is ready to meet us! I've been dialated for at least a month now (not that that really means anything). It's funny that at the beginning I was worried he wouldn't stay put past 35 weeks and I wouldn't get to have my homebirth I wanted so bad. Now I'm wondering if he will try to stick it out past 42 weeks and have my midwife start talking about trying to rush him along! Only he knows when he's ready though, so I'm just trying to be patient and go with the flow for now. Every night I have an hour or two of uncomfortable contractions, that always fizzle out by morning. It's got me anxious so see his little face!
I had an appointment last night and my m/w said she doubts I will make it to my next (on the 28th) We'll see. It would be nice if he made his appearance this weekend! That's what we're all hoping for out here anyway. I'd rather it not be tomorrow (just for the sake of my birth support team and the holiday) but anytime after would be great!
