Uses for witch hazel?

I have a bottle of witch hazel that I have never really used, so what are some good uses?

I know it's supposed to be a good toner for your face - like on a cotton ball. But I'm not sure what kind of skin it's good for.

I use it for topical anti-inflammation purposes such as upset skin.

It's great on a poison ivy, oak, or sumac rash.
