Soy isn't only EVIL, it's everywhere! My poor ds is EXTREMELY sensitive. I have been diligent in avoiding it but always find that somewhere it's getting in. My latest find was in my chapstick-which I never use. However I started until I get new CLO because my old stuff has SOY IN IT. I am very good at label reading, but I'm posting this here because so are you all and just about everyone here is anti-soy. Is there anywhere that you can think of (or any other names it goes by) or derivatives that wouldn't necessarily appear as being soy based? I just want it all out. I'm relatively sure that all food sources are out since I make everything from scratch. But in terms of NT supplements I'm getting freaked out that I may be missing something. Any help/ideas?

Vitamin E/tocopherol is often soy-derived, especially natural. It can also be derived from wheat germ and sunflower, among other things.
This is by no means complete and I haven't re-read it for accuracy. It's old. http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4620/decoder.htm
There is a No Soy forum at Delphi, but it's pretty quiet. You can go read through archives, just remember that product formulations change over the years.

I'm sensitive to even trace amounts of soy, and I'm having trouble even finding things like canned beans that aren't contaminated. I'm all ears, and would love to see what other people have found.

I only use dried beans. I sort thoroughly, rinse well, then soak and cook.
And my husband has unwittingly provoked my reactions (requiring epinephrine) TWICE because he couldn't tell a soybean from a small navy bean (yes, the difference is obvious, but he's a city boy). I had no idea he wasn't sorting! I just lucked out for a year while using beans from that source--I always sort (and frequently toss out soybeans, other beans, rocks, sticks, groats, barley, etc).
