She is doing great. She was at her birth weight (5 lb 13 oz) at her first pediatrician appt, at 8 days old. Today my midwife came for a postpartum visit and weighed her again (12 days old) and she is 6 lbs 4 oz. She is off bottles completely, direct breastfeeding only. She has been super alert for long stretches for the past few days.. 2 hours at a time.
She is so awesome, and doesn't cry much, though her most wakeful times seem to be around whenever we want to go to bed till midnight or later. She dislikes having her diaper/clothes changed. We just hang around all day and cuddle and stare at her.
I'm mostly just so happy to have Ingrid home. We're lucky she just spent 6 days in the NICU, but having her home is the greatest thing ever.
