amazing Homebirth turned into major emergency c-section - Page 2

congratulations on the birth of your dd. Im so sorry things didn't go as expected, but like others have said, thats what those interventions were originally intended for, and you now have a beautiful baby daughter to hold in your arms.

your experience does teach the lesson, though, to have a hospital birth plan in effect "just in case", yk?

Happy Baby Moon!

So, is that three of us in this DDC having emer. c/s? Was there some kind of bad moon or something? I am so glad you and babe are ok. I can't even imagine how you were feeling during that ambulance ride. You are an amazing woman to be so strong at this point. It is so hard when we don't get what we want, even if what we got is exactly was we needed.
Welcome to the world little one.

I can understand a bit how you feel, my first ds was a planned homebirth that turned into a c-section. I never expected or planned for it, never did a birthplan & had procedures/shots/formula given to him i never even contemplated.
Hope as each day goes by you can get through your disappointment. How great though your dh could be with her.If it's any consolation at all, my sis had her dd taken after csec, told her breathing problems, her husband didn't realize he could demand to be with her. To this day my sis has no idea what they did to her baby.
Best to you & your family
