Our baby boy, Carter James, was born at home on November 24th at 1:55am. He was 39 weeks, 2 days along. Labor was about 4 hours long. So much faster and easier than my first birth!
We pretty much got home from Thanksgiving dinner, started getting ready for bed, and my water broke after a strong contraction. From then on the contractions came regularly and quickly got closer and closer.
I got scared at the pushing part because that's where I got hung up the last time, but my midwife talked me through it and I pushed him out in 20 minutes. I spent a lot of my labor in the birth tub, but got out to push on my side on the couch. I felt like I had better traction on land.
My good friend was with dd and brought her in to see Carter being born. I am so glad she was there to witness it.
