I just read about this soap, and it seems either ya love it or hate it. Has anyone tried it? They don't list the ingredients (proprietary) which I REALLY hate when companies play that game, but they say it is natural and safe. If you have tried it, and ALSO made your own laundry soap, how does it compare? I currently shred a soap bar, and mix in a cup of borax, a cup of washing soda and a cup of baking soda----I just wonder which formula would be the best..........

We use it for our dipes and have had no problems with it. I have read that some children get rashes from it, but I don't think there is anything out there that doesn't have a bad reaction for someone, YKWIM? I'm actually planning to switch all of our laundry over to Charlie's.
I know that there is washing soda and some coconut oil based detergents in it, and I think there is one more ingredient, too. I haven't made my own soap, but I prefer this to my old method of washing soda and simple green.

"Ingredients"
Howdy,This is Taylor From CS. While it's true that we don't list our ingredients, I do have some information compiled that could be helpful. I won't post it here because I do not wish to advertise, but if anyone would like this information, send me an email, and I'll get it to you.

I finished my first bag about a month ago. I really really liked it in our laundry, but i think ds's bum really took a toll from it. He is still recovering from a rash that was really really bad. So, I don't think I can use it for him anymore.
I have used Seventh Generation without any issues.

I didn't care for it so much. I used it for all of our clothes, towels etc... and it didn't get out any stains - the laundry seemed to be as dirty coming out as it went in. Also, towels seemed to smell. Especially dirty dish rags - they just never seemed clean. I won't be ordering more.

I had just the opposite effect, everything that wasn't coming clean before, is now. DH likes to cake on deodorant (still working on him with that) and it comes so clean now. I used to have to soak and run two washes with oxyclean to get the shirts clean before. I had a "lolly" doll from when i was a baby that i have washed many times over the years, still dingy. I just washed it yesterday in charlies. I should have taken a before and after photo, that is how much there is a difference!!
