A good carrier for plus-sized mama?

I'm looking for a new carrier to carrier DS so I can keep up with our toddler. He is currently 10 weeks old. I have broad shoulders, as well as being rather busty, with a bit of a belly. I'm leaning towards getting an ERGO (I haven't actually tried one yet though), but I'm wondering if there is anything that would be a better choice for my build. What drew me towards the ERGO is that it appears that some of the baby's weight is supported by your waist, rather than your back. I really don't want to hurt my back from carrying him around all day-- we currently carry him in a ring sling and while it is GREAT, I'm a bit sore at the end of a long day with him in it for a good portion of the day. Anyway, so that's my first priority-- something that doesn't strain the back too much. Thanks for any suggestions!

I find my ergo helpful, and I am a big gal. I use an extender on the waist thing.

I like the Ergo - I don't own one but a friend and I traded for a bit so we could each try out the other's carrier! I really love my Kozy mei tai carrier though and it is a tie on carrier so it fits any size Mama - good for busty, kind of "fluffy" gals like myself! HTH!

I'm fluffy too..

Loved my Kangaroo Korner Fleece Pouch for my babe when she was little and I was running around after her big brother. The x-large fit me well, as well as DH. I can't recommend it enough.

I have the Ergo as well, but really feel it is most useful once they are toddlers. I also have a Baby Hawk Mei Tai, but the same goes for it as for the Ergo...it is good once they are bigger, IMHO.

The pouch just RULES for little ones, and you can't beat the convenience of it. No snapping or adjusting straps, or knotting...slip on, slip off.
