I was involved in the beginning and "fell of the wagon" so to speak. I am jumping back in full force. I'd love for people to join me if they want!

I'm still doing it...and having set backs and triumphs....

It has changed a lot of what i do in every day life, that's for sure.

I'm still doing some. It's changed how I look at what I buy, and has helped me see I didn't buy that much in the first place. Also when I do buy something new, I look a lot more at where it was made... and will spend more if I have to to buy something made locally/or in the USA.

I am planning on starting August 1st. I did a trial run back in March, but I need to do better. July was really bad though. My plan is to take back as much as I can today. I need to write a compact goal ( is that what it is called?) and write out my exceptions.

That is a great idea to take back what you're able to. What a great start!

I'm going to have to update my compact goals/exceptions as well. There are a few things that I need to get and, while I will try to buy used, I doubt I'll be able to. Accountability, for me at least, will be great to help keep me on track when I begin to waver.

I've been spending some time going back and reading the old threads. I have been considering compacting for a number of reasons. I know this thread is large and old. Do you think someone who is still doing this might be interested in starting a new thread?

Sure! I will start a new one if there is interest...

Also, for those of you just starting out, it's always great to join the BIG Compact Yahoo list... We have over 8000 members now!
