I don't think I was trust organics from Similac anymore than I would trust organics from Walmart.

I'm sorry!
that's ok I was just scratching my head thinking I just saw it today at Whole Foods (my dd's teething biscuits are in the same asile)

Thats such bs with the wording, now people are going to think that Similac is the "first" organic infant formula.

You know what's funny?

Breastmilk is not organic.

Not unless you eat 100% organic food all the time and have for many years and never set foot on pesticide-treated grass, etc.

I just saw this formula at my local Stop and Shop. I was curious and remembered this thread and had to look. There it was touting something like "same ingredients found in breastmilk". Somehow that made me feel nauseous. I think these formula companies are misleading women that this/these formulas are just as good or better than breastmilk. I think there needs to be more education out there. Beginning with Ob/Gyns and other physicians.

The thing about Baby's Only is that is actually IS an infant formula, nutritionally. I have done the analysis and it's no different than other infant formulas.

But the co policy is not to advertize it as such so as not to lure mamas away from BFing. I called them to ask about this.

The ethical advertizing actually worked against me, for a while, b/c when I needed formula it was rather sudden and I hadn't looked into any of this - I expected to never touch the stuff - and so I thought that the only organic formula out there was only for toddlers. I was bummed.

Until I bought it, took it home, and did the math - then called the company to confirm what I was finding.

That again, was Baby's Only...

Similac... eehhh, I agree with AM. I trust their organic like I trust WalMart.
