Tea Tree Oil

Thread Starter
I am trying to make my own antibacterial/antiseptic wipes, and previous threads have suggested I use paper towels, water and tea tree oil. Unfortunately the only tea tree oil I have access to is the type from Body Shop, which they use in infusers and for lotions. Is this a really poor type to use?

(I am not in the US so cannot mail order anything.)

Thanks.

Is this an actual essential oil, or is it a fragrance oil? If it is a true essential oil I think it would be fine. It may be of different quality than soemthing from a whole food store, but whether your TTO is organic shouldn't effect your wipes.

Are you opposed to shopping online? If not, you can get essential oils at mountain rose herbs... i use tto and lavendar (w/ a tiny bit of castille soap) in my wipes solution (w/ baby towels and cut up flannel blankets) and it works great.

Ingrediants: Water, Alcohol Denat., Polysorbate 60, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Limonene, t-Butyl Alcohol, Denatonium Benzoate

Yep it's bad, there's alcohol it in, wouldn't want to put that on a baby. And it's a waste of money too, watered down stuff sold for full price. Can't you order internationally? Or does the shipping cost too much? Why not check the drugstore for 100% tea tree oil?
