is there a place for natural cleaning solutions?

My family just moved into our first home, and because everything is so shiny and new, I'm working hard to keep it that way. At our old apartment, I cleaned the natural and safe way. BS, vinegar, etc. Now that we are in our home, I found myself at the store buying all the traditional cleaners! Stainless steel cleaner, marble cleaner, wood floor cleaner, bathroom cleaner, etc. I can tell by the smells of some that there is some strong stuff in there. I want to go back to my natural and safer cleaning ways but I want to keep my home sparkling. Is there a web resource that I can go to that will give me natural cleaning solutions? I used to love vinegar and peroxide for the counters to kill germs, but I was told that vinegar on marble is a big no no because of the acid. So spraying vinegar on my counters is out I guess, but I definitely did not like the aerosal spray I used today. Where can I go for help with finding natural cleaners that won't damage my homes materials? TIA!

THIS is the place!

Searching for "stainless" in this forum, I found these threads: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...archid=3352910
One poster mentioned scrubbing off grime (gently) and then buffing with a tiny bit of olive oil.

Be careful with vinegar, it can eat off the finish.

About.com provided the following suggestions for stainless steel:
- water and a soft cloth
- dishwashing liquid

Here's a page with marble suggestions: http://www.repair-home.com/Cleaning_Marble.html
They say that plain water is best. They also have a nifty grapefruit-salt scrub idea for getting stains out.

Oops, just noticed that YOU are the author of the stainless steel post that I referenced, so sorry!

Mrs. Meyers seems to be a great source for ready-made environmentally safe cleaners. There is a website that you can order products off of directly.
