mama pads - quilting them?

Does quilting mama pads help keep them from bunching the long way? I discovered and a trifolded 8x8 wipe is super easy to make and use as a Diva Cup backup, but it bunches a bit. I noticed some mama pads are quilted, and was wondering if this was why. Any help?

Yes. Quilting keeps them from bunching. It really helps them from getting all twisted in the dryer, too.

It can also help channel fluids so they go up and down, and not right over the sides.
