Imogen Anne arrived at home on her due date!

I didn't post much, but definitely lurked during my pregnancy. I had such an amazing birth I just had to share a quick version of it.
My beautiful baby girl was born Nov. 26th at 9:36 a.m. She weighs 6lbs3ounces, my son was 8lbs 11 ounces so this is quite different for me.
I went into labor at 1:30 a.m on Saturday and had contractions all over the place for the next 28 hours. They would be 5 minutes apart then 15 then 20 then 2 then 1. It was pretty unbelieveable. The contractions were very strong but it was nice to get a break. I had pitocin with no pain-meds with my sons birth and it was hell compared to this. Being at home was so amazing! I had my great friend who is a certified doula with me the entire time. I didn't have dh call the midwife until an hour and a half before I birthed Imogen. My doula and I were dancing and singing between contractions. I had candles lit everywhere. I had a birthing tub but didn't end up going in it until 15 minutes before Imogen was born. When it came time to push I let out 3-4 grunts and she crowned. Then, I stopped pushing because I could feel her moving out on her own. She pushed her own way out the rest of her journey. It was the most beautiful and amazing experince I've ever had! I am still in such awe of the beauty of birth at home without pitocin. I am on cloud nine and hope to never come down.
Congratulations to all the new moms, and for the ones waiting I wish you a most beautiful labor!

I'm so glad you had such a pleasant and gentle birth! I also birthed in water this time (at home) and loved it!!
I hope you stay on cloud 9 (with me!) for a long time!

Congratulations! Sounds like a wonderful birth (I've had the pitocin induced no pain meds vs. normal birth experience too). Enjoy your babymoon!

That's fantastic!

Sounds like you did wonderful with your labor and how cool that you let your body just take over pushing.
I wish I could have felt that experience...my son was a tough one to push out, and he was stuck near the very end, so I'm just super greatful I did it, and pushed him out at home!
I love hearing all these three or four pushes and he was out stories though. So inspiring. You rock!!!
