Making your own tea...

...can you share how you do this? What is your "recipe"? How do you mix it up and use it?

I'm a total newbie at doing something like this but I know that I'll get much more for my $$ this way. I use the traditional medicinal brand and I was thinking about trying to copy that since it works for me. But when I go to Mountain Rose herbs and try to find say bitter fennel fruit, it takes me to fennel seed. Can I use the 2 interchangeably? Then there are things like marshmallow root/lemongrass/lemon verbena. Are they something they put in for taste since they're down with the spearmint? I like the spearmint flavor but are the others neccessary? I tried the yogi brand tea and it doesn't help my supply at all so I'm worried about getting it right.

Thanks for the help!

Hmmmm...

I've been trying to come up with a "recipe," too. One more specific for IGT. My biggest questions are about ingredient ratios and making sure my ingredients don't contraindicate each other. I figure the best way to do this is to keep the ingredient list low (like only 5 or 6 ingredients!) and talk to an herbalist.

Still trying to figure that one out, though. Would love to hear more!
